Dalai Lama says, "I am a Marxist"

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: Psalms 111:10a
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: Proverbs 1:7a

I’m sick and tired of hearing about and from the Dalai Lama and his alleged wisdom. According to the Scriptures cited above, he doesn’t have even the beginning of wisdom, since he doesn’t fear the Lord. The honourary citizen of Trudeaupia (formerly Canada) was in Toronto this weekend. The following "wisdom" from one of the world’s most overrated people, as reported by Adam McDowell in the National Post, might surprise some of his admirers (it surprised me, and I’m not among his admirers):

The Dalai Lama reiterated his call for peace between Tibet and China during a weekend visit to Toronto, saying he is "still a Marxist" who views Chinese people of the majority Han ethnicity as "brothers and sisters" of the Tibetans.

Speaking with reporters during an unpublicized press conference at a Toronto hotel Saturday morning, the Tibetan Buddhist leader said despite political differences between them, the Han Chinese and Tibetan people could repair the relationship with "a few days" of honest negotiation, and a Chinese willingness to allow Tibetan culture to flourish...

... The Dalai Lama revealed that as a young man — before the 1959 Tibetan uprising that soured the relations between the two peoples and sent 80,000 Tibetans into exile in India and elsewhere — he once applied for membership in the Chinese Communist Party.

"Now still, as far a socio-economic theory is concerned, I am a Marxist … but not a Leninist. And of course Stalinist [is] too much," said the man also known as Tenzin Gyatso, who was awarded honorary Canadian citizenship in 2006.

Of course, it’s unlikely that anyone from the Orient would endorse "Leninism" or "Stalinism." This self-confessed Marxist seems to do well for himself while spending a lot of time in the "capitalist" Occident.
